Running?

It has been awhile since I ran. I mostly used the gym. But with the nice wether coming in I want to start again. But there has alwys been one thing that has detered me from running. When ever running you alwys hve those people drving down the road honking the horn, or something. Any tips to zone them out? Thanks.
The trail is a one mile walk away. Who cares it is just one mile. I can deal with it.
No, I usually run on a trail right next to the road. So everyone sees you. But it is never all the time maybe in a 4 mile road. Probably be three cars.

Run on the sidewalk or a trail not the road.

Yeah, I run alot too. I listen to my MP3 player when I run, I keeps me motivaded and the rest of the people seem not to bother me as much.

I’ve never had a problem, of course, I run in residentials areas in the morning - the only people up and driving are working people, usually too worried about getting to work on time to pay much attention to me.
Music, it helps me not only drown out the world and my thoughts, but it pumps me up and helps me run further.
My only other thought on it is use it as a motivation - they are honking because you are looking good, and you will continue to look good if you run more.

If they’re honking, perhaps there’s a problem with where you’re running?!?

try running a residential area early in the morning, less people are out. plus a residential area is safer than a trail or park. the earlier you get out, the cooler it will be so you may not need to bring a water bottle or jug with you. also try using an mp3 player of some sort. i wouldn’t suggest having the music at full blast, you still should be cautious of what is going on around you.
