Kitten suddenly running away from people she liked the day before?

My sister has had a cat for about half a month and she’s 9 weeks old. Just 3 days ago, she’s been running away from everybody in our house. She used to come to you, but now you can’t go to her. Any help?

maybe she recently got stepped on, try walking softly and sitting down on the floor and coaxing her to you (maybe with toys) until she feels better about it?

I had this problem once. Don’t pick her up as much if you do and pet her when she eats. When this happened to me the vet said my cat was going slightly feral.

It sounds as though something happened that frightened her. Kittens need to have human contact, so keep trying. She won’t grow up to be a people-friendly cat without it. A nine-week old kitten is a baby so be sure to treat her gently.

You know…maybe she’s just trying out being a real cat…tee hee
Just kidding…something must have happened to scare her. sit on the floor with a ball of string…Kitties can’t stop the urge to bop at things…try this a few times…if you are down on her level and she comes to you..pick her up and snuggle her for a minute then put her back down and get her to bop the yarn…she will come around..if she was friendly before..she will be friendly again..she just needs a little encouragement..? ? p.s. my cat Ester..send her a hug and lick…?

Give her some time. Don’t force her to come.
