As a full back, starting my sophmore year, i was a a running back freshmen year, freshmen year i was 6′0 176 lbs to be correct, running the 40 at 4.6, so i wasnt half bad, im now a fullback though, 6′1 235 lbs, benching 265, squating 455, cleaning 220, but anyways, the point of the runningback is more of a picking up a quick 10-15 average , and the way to do that is alot of agility drills, as in stepping over bags really quick, sprinting 10 yards back and forth, must be your full speed, with a 4 min interval id say, and just getting comfortable with running, i run the mile in 6:40 at a constant speed not overtiring myself. as for the gym, do alot of calves, quads, squating is very good for this, and believe it or not strong arms will help you alot trying to keep away those pesky linebackersand corners if you get past em. as a fullback i average 9.6 yards per carry, im not amazing yet but im not bad =\, i did **** load of agility runs, as well as eat **** loads of carbs, and personally stay at 195 lbs, the more you weigh the toughter it is to get hit back, remember stay low when running, weight forward
