Is running the easiest way to lose weight?
July 7th, 2009 | by DistanceRunner |Anna R asked:
I often hear this, and it sounds really odd to me that simply running can melt away pounds so quickly. Like, if I were to start running 4 days a week for 4 miles each day could I lose 10 pounds this month? I do realize that I won’t be able to run that far right away, but any tips for conditioning would be greatly appreciated.

The formula for losing those excess pounds is simple - consume less food and exercise more often - the problems appear when we in reality try to put that into operation! There are lots of temptations out there aren’t there?! I uncovered some splendid advice by reading the web portal in the box below, they have lots of guidance, I worked off 9 pounds by doing as they advised.

i’m not sure. you can’t only just run. Me and my friend are running everyday around 4 pm and then we do crunches, lower body, and upper body work outs. just eat healthier and exercise more

not true. the best way is to exercise in Any way and change your eating habits.
the best way to eat is to have about 5-6 small snacks a day. Your body will understand that it eats every 3 hours or so during the day, and it will stop storing fat for energy.
good luck!

yep considering that your working everything while running compared to spending an hour on each machine at a gym.
but diet plays a big role.
running with fast paced music and maybe a belt with a water attatchment could make it easier for you.

I started off walking very fast for an hour. Then after about a week of that I could run for 1 minute and walk for 1 minute for the hour.. Then it was 2 mins run and 1 minute walk. I slowly built up to where I can run for 30 minutes straight.
I’m SURE you can do it to, all you have to do is start!
As for weight loss, yes you will lose weight because you are building up your heart muscle when you run by increasing its oxygen demand and therefore increasing your metabolism at that moment (that’s one of the reasons you breathe faster). Good luck and Happy Running!

yes running is deff one of the best ways!
if you **** to run thought you have other options! try swimming because you wont have any pounding on your knees (injured runners swim all the time to keep in shape) and you work tons of different muscles you wont work while swimming. running is the best though. and if you **** to run the elipitcal is the same motion but a little less intense. deff run and do some sprints as well. also what is really good is running hills and do long runs as well even if they are slow!
plus what i have always done and ive lost like 100 cal in 10 minutes is DDR workout mote (dance dance revolution) if you do it in workout mode and just completely dance around not following the arrows you loose a ton!!
hope this helps good lucky!
also eat healthy and get a good amount of sleep and you will lose weight!
