I want to start running fairly regularly and I need help setting a plan. Any ideas?

I’m a 12 year old girl and I was wondering if anyone could help me devise a plan for running that would ease me in to it. I can run about 3-4 times a week usually, but since I’m on Holiday Break from school right now I can run about every day. Can someone tell me about how much and how often I need to run each time to gradually get comfortable running about 3 miles?

Since I don’t know how tall you are, and what shape you’re in, this site can help you better. They did wonders for me, and they have great articles for runners

well you should definitely start out small, I’m a soccer player so when the season starts i have to be in shape. I would start out by walking, then run a mile until you can do it easily, then 2 and finally 3…it helps if you run with another person because that makes you actually get up and run because they are counting on you to be there….
    Good Luck!!!

    run only on alternate days…

use a treadmill instead of running on hard roads….

start with 10minutes running time… no matter what the distance you cover …

    gradually increase to 3 miles
