i wouldn’t settle for just 1 mile.
slowly add on…1/4 mile here, 1/2 mile there.
until you build up your stamina!

Congrats on your weightloss. 7 lbs for a month is actually a perfect amount of weightloss. I’ve read over and over again from various health articles that 1-2 lbs of weightloss a week is best. More than that and you risk losing muscle tone as well which will in turn make your body burn less calories & make it harder to keep the weight off. Doing it slowly is the way to go.
The time that you keep your heartrate up is actually more important than the distance. 30-45 minutes should be your target.

you need to burn fat!!
for this just run and if you can increse your distance slowly!!
like if you are running 2 miles a day go to 4 but not tomorrow itself but in a month just increase your pace and distance!!
and do join a gym where you can get expert advice and eat healthy!!
i wont say you to omit your food one time a day but just keep it healthy like salads and more proteins and no fats!!!
no wafers and no lays!!! You can eat whatever you like only once a week but that too not very much just keep it light and dont eat till a full stomach just divide your food in 6 meals throughout the day and have at regular intervals of time like eating something every 3 hrs!!!!
that may help and remember to eat healthy!!!!
check out some weight losing excersices on the net too

Seven pounds in one month is very respectable. A mile a day is a start, but not really enough. I suggest walking(at a brisk pace)/running for a minimum of 30 minutes a day. When the 30 mins becomes easy, up the time to 60 mins.
Walking tends to be more successful than running for long-term weight loss. Walking is much easier on the body than running. However, I’m running a marathon next year. I love running, but spent the first 3 months just walking.
Here are some beginning running programs that can put you on the right track….
