when running 3 inch abs pipe for a toilet can you use a 3X2 Comby and the vent if it’s straight upwith90 ontop

i have a 3 inch pipe running to a toilet and i want to run the vent to the nearest wall 4 feet away. i put a 3X2 comby straight up and put a street long sweep 90 on top of it to run to the nearest wall and long sweep 90 up thru the wall to the ceiling. will that pass inspection in los angeles?
the vent is running thru the roof. also this is under the floor plumbing so my question centers around the right way to vent a 3 inch pipe service a toilet other than a san tee the usual way.
the pipe didnt pass inspection today. inspector said because i used long sweep 90 itbecame a horizontal vent. i think he is wrong but he wouldn’t sign it off that way.

The vent either needs to tie onto a existing vent in attic, or go thru the roof to air by itself.
Do not just dump it into the attic, as sewer gas will collect in the attic, and… WHEEEEUEEE!
Call you local plumbing inspector and describe what you have done, and take some pictures if needed. They will guide you the rest of the way.

Greets….
Lots of angles….
Use of the street els for venting is not necessary IIRC just standard DWV pipe (can’t hurt though). And this sounds like you have toilet on an interior wall 2 els
Don’t know about down there - but up here in Sac all I do when a question comes up is call the city inspector…. and if they can’t do it over the phone, I drop in with a drawing.
They always help and I always learn something new.
And - yeah - Do Not Vent to Attic.interesting odors will happen when the wind blows.
take care.

As long as the vent pipe doesn’t run horizontally coming off the sewer line. It must rise a little first, the more the better, or waste can back up into the vent pipe a little. This will interfere with the flush action. The air needed has to enter the pipe at the same point as the water it to vent properly.
