How do I stop my dog from running over people?

My family owns a very rambuncious 7 month old German Short Haired Pointer. We have tried everything to stop him from running into people! He used to jump but we got him to stop doing that (most of the time) but now he will run head first into anyone that comes to our door. He’s knocked over children and even my mother-in-law! Help me, pleeease.

Have you tried crating the dog until the people come through and get situated/sit down etc?

Enroll him into a puppy kindergarden class or else put him in a separate room when others comes.

Leash him when people come in. Teach him to sit to greet people. If possible, set-up practice sessions and have someone enter; as soon as he starts to run at them, they should leave. After doing this a few times he should start to figure out that they turn and go as soon as he starts to run.

lol lol lol lol lol . the question was a hoot but will try to give you some ideas as how to at least slow the dog down some/ I have to say iam laughing so hard cuz ive pic this goig on , the dog plowing people down.. so sorry but still funny…
ok maybe you should keep the dog in the back yard?
dont let the dog be the 1st to door when open it ?
put aleash on him when some one comes over??
or could put in another room till he settles down?
