HA! look stupid? you wouldnt look stupid at all! im 13 too gonna be 14 in feb and i ran from my house to the YMCA (about1.5 miles) play basketball and ran back, everyday in the summer! plus, girls think its hot if they see you. Or you could go to your local highschool and run on the track…

Dude: there is absolutely NOTHING stupid about doing that… hell even if some dudes from your school are like “hey look at him he’s a dork, he’s jogging” well hell, you’ll be in way better shape than them. They won’t think it’s so stupid when girls are more into you than them.
Also, if you get decent jogging/running gear, that will help. I run five miles a night at the gym and run around a lake here a few times a week too, and you *do* see some people who look like total morons. Look stylish: get a pair of Adidas or Kappa training pants that are a bit loose and a matching tracksuit top and a pair of good shoes - this is also very important, because if you just wear your regular shell-toed Adidas or Vans or whatever your feet won’t get the support they need and you’ll ache more. Get a pair of cross trainers.
Like the above guy said, try to run on a local school track; especially if they have a cork track (the softer, spongier ones you see at high schools) because it’s better for your joints. Four laps and you’ve done a mile. Otherwise, again, lakes are nice. I don’t like running blocks in the cities because you have to stop and watch for cars and all that.

Well I’m 17 and after looking back over my past I wish I had started running sooner. I was worried about looking stupid and was too consumed with video games. Now I couldn’t care less and video games seem incredibly shallow and short term. dude just go for it. Just start running you’ll be in better shape have a better work ethic feel better about yourself and even have a fallback sport to try to get into college with.
As for tips yeah I’ve got a couple of good ones. First pace yourself I can sprint around a football field in about a minute but can’t even stand for the next 30 mins. Next run every day at least fifteen minutes that’s the optimal amount of time you need to run to maintain your muscle mass and muscle memory. next find some good scenic places to jog the city part the woods a mountain road whatever. This makes it easier and more enjoyable. You will get stitches in your sides if you don’t breath deep and stretch. By breathing deep I mean breath from your abs not chest. Remember to stretch or you will get cramps. Finally find a rhythm in for two counts out for three in for one out for two whatever. It should total to be an odd count or you’ll put too much pressure on one side of your body and get a stitch in your side. next the out breath should be longer or just breath out of your nose. It may kind of **** at first but it keeps you from tiring out by breathing too much too fast. That’s about it really. .. Good luck

If you are wearing clothers proper for athletic activity then you wont look stupid.
Run with someone too.
I used to get soo tired when I ran as well. Then I joined the Police Explorer Academy and when we did Physical Training, and you have 4 POLICE OFFICERS yelling at you, you f*ck!n move. Trust me.
And its funny your screen name says “Chappu” cause when I was in the academy my nickname was ”Chappy” cause of my last name.
