What would be a good running shoe to start off on?
January 29th, 2008 | by DistanceRunner |I’ve started preparing myself for running.
Usually, I just wear my converses when I go running, but now that I am getting serious I want to invest in some actual “Running” shoes.
What is the best type or brand? Are there specific things I need to know about choosing what running shoe to purchase?
Any help would be wonderful.

It will really depend on your foot type. Make sure you go to a store and try on as many models as you can.
I prefer New Balance because they provide the support I need on the insides of my arches.

Saucony Cohesion, about $40 at Academy & Sports Authority. Make sure you try them on afternoon or evening when your feet are larger. Wear thick running socks. Then stand with your weight on 1 foot and measure from your longest toe to the front of the shoe. Should measure about 1 inch or the width of your thumb.
Good LUck

if you need some more support i would suggest a nike or a new balance but if your a real good cross country runner who doesn’t need so much support i suggest pumas or Nike’s xc series
